STATEMENT OF BELIEFS
1). We Believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be written by chosen men of God under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost and to be the only infallible authoritative Word of God.
2). We Believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.
3). We Believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ; He was God in the flesh; in His miraculous conception by the Holy Ghost; His virgin birth; lived a sinless, perfect life; in His miracles, His vicarious and substitutionary death through the shedding of His precious blood on the Cross of Calvary; in His bodily resurrection from the dead; His ascension to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father; His present ministry as High Priest and Advocate; and in His personal return as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He is head of the church and Lord of all creation.
4). We Believe in the Holy Ghost who is living, personal, and divine. We believe the Holy Ghost indwells all believers and enables and empowers them for life and ministry.
5). We Believe that man was created by God, and in His image and likeness, that man fell through disobedience and willful sin, and came under the condemnation of a holy God. This sin incurred not only a physical death but also spiritual death. The only way man can be forgiven from sin is by the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
6). We Believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and is the only mediator between God and man. That salvation was accomplished by the finished work of Christ shedding His blood, and that no man can save themselves, but only by faith and belief in the Son of God one can be saved and receive everlasting life. We are cleansed from sin through repentance and faith in Him. We believe that salvation is a gift from God to all those who believe in Him. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life, no man can come to the Father but by Him. (John 14:6)
7). We Believe that the Christian Church should live a pure life of obedience to all God’s commandments and to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but rather reprove them. To always be ready to give an answer for the hope that is in them.
8). We Believe in the reality and personality of Satan who coordinates and motivates opposition towards God, and in the real existence of both angels and demons.
9). We Believe in the “blessed hope” the personal, bodily, premillennial return of Christ.
10). We Believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life, the other to everlasting damnation.
1) We Believe the Bible is the inspired (God breathed) and inerrant (without error) word of God, a collection of 66 books (39 in the OT and 27 in the new), written by over 40 different authors, from 1500 B.C. to about 100 A.D., on three continents, and in three languages: Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek.
"for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God," (2 Pet. 1:21).
"All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work," (2 Tim. 3:16-17)
2) We Believe the authority of Scripture is derived by the virtue of it being authored and inspired of God and it has authority over everyone whether they be Christian or not.
- We believe that the Bible is the word of God. That all 66 books of the Bible are inspired by God and therefore infallible and inerrant in all that they teach; so that the Bible is the sole authority for Christian faith and practice. 2 Timothy 3:15, 2 Peter 1;20-21.
- We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Therefore, He had the very nature of God and is himself God in human form, the second person of the divine Trinity. We furthermore believe in the virgin birth of our Lord. John 1:1-14, Matthew 28:19, Luke 1:35.
- We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. We affirm that after being crucified for our sins, He rose from the dead in a glorified, supernatural body and now sits on the right hand of God the Father. John 2:19-20, 1 Corinthians 15:4, Romans 10:9.
- We believe in the divine Trinity. That is that there in only one God who exists in three persons, these persons being God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. These persons we affirm to be different in office and person; but, the same in divine substance and nature. Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14.
- We believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, and that in that act, purchased our redemption and finished the atonement and all that was required for our salvation. John 19:30.
- We believe that a person is saved when they in accordance with the scriptures truly believe in their heart and confess with their mouth that Jesus is the Lord of their life; and, that He rose from the dead, for their sins; we believe that then they become a new creature in Christ with works following. Romans 10:8-10.
- We believe in immersion, this mode of Baptism more than any other demonstrates that a person has been buried with Christ as they go under the water and resurrected with Christ when they come out of the water. We believe that all Christians should be baptized in accordance with the Word of God. Mark 16:15-16, Romans 6:4-6.
- We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. We affirm that upon the moment of true belief and confession of Christ, a person receives the Holy Spirit and is placed in the body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:3, Rom 8:9.
- We believe in a subsequent Baptism and filling of the Holy Ghost, that is we affirm that after a person is saved, they can be empowered by the Holy Spirit for Christian service. This empowerment can be evidenced by the gift of tongues as well as by other gifts and manifestations of the Holy Spirit according to the will of God. Acts 1:8.
- We believe that miracles are for today. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. God still heals and performs miracles according to his sovereign will as set forth in the Holy Scriptures. Psalms 103:1-3, Hebrews 13:8,
- We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ, that is that at some unannounced time, Jesus Christ will return physically and gloriously to this earth. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Rev 1:7.
- We believe in the doctrine of Heaven and Hell. We affirm that there is a place of eternal bliss prepared for the righteous where they will dwell forever with God and Christ. Also, there is a place of eternal torment for all those who have rejected Jesus Christ.
Rev 21:1-4, Rev 20:15.
- We believe in tithing under grace, not as a requirement of the law, but as an expression of our dedication to the work of the Lord in the local church. Matthew 23:23, Heb 7:7-8, 2 Corinthians 9:7.
- We believe that the true church is one body of many members, consisting of all those who have received God’s free gift of salvation, regardless of church affiliation. We believe that all believers should earnestly endeavor to keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace. 1 Corinthians 12, Ephesians 4:3-6.
- We believe in the dedication of little children to the Lord, as opposed to infant Baptism. Matthew 19:14.
- We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and lost, that they are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life; and, that they are lost unto the resurrection of eternal punishment. John 5:28-29.
- We believe that sex is ordained only for marriage partners and sex before or outside of marriage is the sin of fornication. 1 Corinthians 6:18,, 1 Corinthians 7:1-2.
- We believe that man fell by transgression from a state of righteousness and innocence in which he was created, and into a state of death, in which he held as a slave of sin until he delivered by the power of the Gospel of Christ. Romans 3:23, Romans 5:12.
- We oppose racism and prejudice in any form. We affirm that all people are created equal in the eyesight of God. To make any distinction on the basis of color of ethnic group is a sin and will not be tolerated by Strictly Biblical Bible Teaching Ministries.
Acts 10:34-35.
- We believe that homosexuality is a sin before God. We also affirm that marriage is a relationship between one man and one woman only. Practicing homosexuals cannot be members of the Body of Christ Leviticus 18:22.
